Each episode of Your Health Workshop tackles a common but often overlooked health challenge - from hair loss, to sex drive, to perimenopause, to thyroid issues. Not only does bestselling author and patient advocate Mary Shomon help you understand the issues, causes and trigger factors, but in a workshop approach, she helps you identify constructive and practical solutions to your challenges. You'll get access to checklists that you can take to your doctor, and customized panels of health and hormone tests specially designed for each show that can help you get the information you need to take the next steps, including conventional approaches, holistics/alternative solutions, nutritional and self-care help, and other ways to resolve your health challenges. Learn about and meet the experts and practitioners who can help you solve your health challenges and ask questions during the show. Your Health Workshop airs live Wednesdays at 10 AM Pacific Time on VoiceAmerica Health and Wellness.
Mary Shomon is a patient advocate, author, communications consultant, health coach and mother who has transformed her own struggle with thyroid disease -- which began with her Hashimoto's diagnosis in 1995 -- into an advocacy/ education effort on behalf of fellow patients with chronic health issues such as thyroid disease, autoimmunity, obesity, and hormone imbalances.
