John Ingoldsby is a veteran sports journalist who covers all sports for a variety of broadcast and print media, as well as an award-winning sports PR executive who has conducted successful campaigns for both athletes and organizations.As a long-time NFL writer, John has had the unique distinction of covering two legendary NFL dynasties, the current New England Patriots and the “Steel Curtain Era” Pittsburgh Steelers. Before the NFL’s annual game in the United Kingdom, John wrote about the league’s international strategy for London-based Financial Times, based upon his exclusive interview with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. Other media outlets John’s articles have appeared in are the Philadelphia Daily News, Boston Globe, Patriots Insider (in affiliation with SCOUT.COM and Fox Sports), and The Penn Stater, following a decade at newspapers, including the Worcester Telegram, Lowell Sun, Fairmont Times, Englewood Herald, and Altoona Mirror.
Recently, John has taught at the Boston University College of Communications, Harvard University Extension, and Salem State University. He serves on the Executive Committee for the Sports & Entertainment Section of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), and is a member of the Professional Football Writers of America (PFWA), National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association (NSSA), Great Fenway Park Writers Series, and Gridiron Club of Greater Boston. John is also a TV Sports Correspondent, and a leading military writer.
