Alaina Abram

Hi, my name is Alaina Abram. I’m 11 years old and am in 6th grade. Some of the things that I enjoy are horseback riding, reading, and riding my quad at the dunes or in the desert. But my favorite thing to do is hang out with my friends! I am an only child so when I get the chance to spend time with kids my age I go for it! At school I have been in the student council and currently I’m in choir.

I recently just started up a company named P.S.E (Poop Scene Eliminator). It sounds gross but I don’t actually have to touch the stuff. I also volunteer almost every Sunday at my church with the preschool kids. They are very energetic but I love them! So, as you can see I am pretty busy!

My friends describe me as “Responsible, endearing, smart, funny, and witty.” I’m not sure if I am all of those, but I like the sound of it!

One of the biggest events in my life has been the death of my father. I found out my dad had cancer shortly before my 9th birthday. He was sick for almost 2 years before he died so we were able to spend a lot of time together, but I still miss him. Even though my dad is gone I still know that he loves me.

When I was three my mom was pregnant with my little sister Angelica. Mom went into labor early and had her way too soon so my sister passed away as well. I have made it through obstacles in life with my family, friends and most of all, God! It may seem like a horrible life, but I look forward to see what He has in store for me!

Wesley Sylvester

Hi, my name is Wesley Sylvester. I am 11 years old and was born in Phoenix, Arizona. I live in Litchfield Park with my brother who is 15 years old, my mom and dad, my grandma, my cat named Stormie and grandma’s dog named Georgie. I wear glasses, and I have blond hair and brown eyes.

In my spare time I love to read fantasy books like Harry Potter, build Legos, destroy Legos and play with Legos. Pretty much, I like Legos! I think nice, expensive and fast cars are the best. When it’s nice outside, we take family walks and I really enjoy our family movie nights. And I really, really like cookies.

We’ve always done lots together as a family. Every summer we swim in our pool and have fun camping in northern Arizona. I like traveling with my family too. We’ve been to really cool places like The Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas, Washington, D.C., Disneyworld, and most recently a Mexican Riviera Cruise. In fact, on that cruise I volunteered for part of the magician’s and comedian’s shows. It was really fun!

I have played the piano for 3 years and plan to continue with my lessons. Church is a big part of our lives and I have been in several of our musical productions. I attend my Sunday School class called Christ Club 56, Kids Creation hour and Wednesday evening services. I’ve been a Cub Scout and been on the swim team.
