The WHO and AMA have declared processed meats to be class 1 carcinogens ("Will cause cancer"), on a par with asbestos and tobacco, while the processed meat industry continues to insist that they are totally safe to consume. They support this assertion by slathering the media with advertising revenue, keeping them on a leash of gold, throwing our population under the bus. Medical expenses in this country are wildly out of control, and are well on their way to bankrupting the country, as they have bankrupted so many families who have been touched by chronic illnesses. Why can't we cure these illnesses, or prevent them? Where are the billions in medical research going? And the biggest question of all: do we really want to cure or prevent these diseases? Howard Straus
Mr. Howard Straus, son of Charlotte Gerson and grandson of Dr. Max Gerson, graduated from MIT with a degree in physics. He was a US naval officer during the Viet Nam war and worked for many years as a computer systems analyst. Howard was Editor-in-Chief of the Gerson Healing Newsletter for ten years and authored an award-winning biography of Dr. Gerson called Dr. Max Gerson: Healing the Hopeless, published in 2002.
Howard was the founding Director of the Gerson Healing Center in Sedona, Arizona, that provided the Gerson Therapy directly to visitors from all over the world. Howard also served on the Board of the Gerson Institute for fifteen years and initiated their Worldwide Web presence during the earliest days of the Internet.
Mr. Straus founded Gerson Health Media that publishes the guidebooks for implementing Gerson Therapy and manages the rapidly expanding library of books and booklets being released around the world. Howard appears on radio, television and Internet interviews, and regularly speaks throughout the world.
