Ray Bellamy

Ray Bellamy, The first black football player to sign with the University of Miami and one of the first to play college football in the Deep South. After his college career, Bellamy went into coaching high school football. His coaching career stretched from Miami-Gulliver Prep and Tavernier-Coral Shores, to South Carolina before he would become a college coach at Fort Valley (Ga.) and South Carolina State. Karl Mecklenburg

A Former Denver Broncos captain and All-Pro, Karl Mecklenburg rose from being a college walk-on and a 12th round draft pick to a pro career that included six Pro Bowl and three Super Bowl appearances. Considered the NFL's most versatile player, Karl played all seven defensive front positions. Since retiring from pro football in 1995, Karl divides his time between family, motivational speaking, and his ongoing charity involvements. SPIN IT! with Chuck Foreman will review select games from the past weekend, discuss upcoming match-ups and touch on hot topics that might be in the news that week. There will be a “no-spin zone” where host will give opinions without bias and field your questions. “SPIN IT! Old School” is where Chuck will select a play or situation and talk about it from “back in the day.” “Around Town with Chuck”, is where Chuck talks about what’s going on around town, or newsworthy items.

SPIN IT! with Chuck Foreman will provide you with insights from a retired player’s perspective. Chuck is in a position to be straightforward about what happens on the field and he can speak candidly from his own viewpoint. The opinions and views expressed are that of the host.

We will discuss Football, Current News Events and Local happenings.

Chuck Foreman

Chuck is a native of Frederick, Maryland. A standout athlete excelling in football, basketball and track, Chuck went on to attend the University of Miami—The “U”—where he played defensive back, wideout and running back. He went on to play running back in the NFL, primarily catching passes out of the backfield, a pre-cursor to the West Coast Offense style of play. In 2005, the College Football Hall of Fame honored Chuck with the Community Service Award for his work with Midwest at-risk youth. In 2007, Chuck became part of the Minnesota Vikings Ring of Fame.
The 12th overall pick of the Minnesota Vikings in the 1973 NFL Draft, Chuck rushed for 801 yards on 182 attempts and caught 37 passes for 362 yards, earning him the consensus for NFL Rookie of the Year. In 1975, he led the conference with 73 receptions, finishing just 6 yards behind Jim Otis of the St. Louis Cardinals in rushing. Chuck's 22 total touchdowns tied Gale Sayers' former NFL record. He was named conference player of the year by The Sporting News in 1974 and by United Press International in 1976. Chuck was named to the All-Pro Team in 1975 and 1976 and played in five consecutive Pro Bowls (1973-1977), rushing for 5,950 yards and 53 touchdowns in 1,556 carries, averaging 3.8 yards per attempt, and catching 350 passes for 3,156 yards, a 9.0 average, and 23 touchdowns over his NFL career.
