In the midst of a sometimes crazy and often maddening world, we all know how hard it can be to keep our peace and hold our tongues. We may think that only a saint could manage the miracle of total self-control…and maybe we’re not as “saintly” as we could be. But every saint began their upward journey more or less where we began ours. And we don’t need to get it right every time in order to advance on our spiritual path. We should remember – and take comfort from the fact – that each victory, big or small, is significant. And each failure is simply another opportunity to learn. So when we practice loving kindness, we must always remember to apply it to ourselves. This is one of the keys to self-mastery and, ultimately, to our own spiritual victory. Terry Canady and Thom Schumacher
Raised in Des Moines, Iowa, Terry Canady's performing and recording career has spanned nearly five decades, and his travels have taken him across the country, from Alaska to Florida.
Recording a #1 hit record, “Mama Bear,” in Nashville, Tennessee in the early 1970s was the highlight of his career and eventually led to the creation of his own record and publishing company, Saint Adrian, through which he has produced a number of records and albums, and, most recently, a patriotic CD titled “Give Me Liberty.”
Continuing on with his love for narration, commercial and voice-over work, Terry currently lives in the beautiful Paradise Valley, just a few miles north of Yellowstone National Park.
Thom Schumacher is Marketing Director for The Summit Lighthouse, passionate about bringing the teachings of the ascended masters to the world….and steadfastly devoted to Life. Like many spiritual seekers looking to come up higher, his path has taken many interesting and often surprising twists and turns.
His resume includes ad agency owner, teacher, real estate broker, educational media producer, professional vocal ensemble member and magazine editor.
Now, nearly twenty years after finding The Summit Lighthouse and the ascended masters’ mission of soul liberation, Thom remains deeply grateful and knows he is truly blessed. As the sign-off that ends each program states: Though the upward path may be difficult, the rewards are…out of this world!
