Janine L. Agoglia

Janine L. Agoglia, L.Ac. began her journey into Eastern health in 1995 with her first yoga class. From stress reduction to improving self-esteem and confidence to learning to be in the moment, Janine realized that yoga was something she needed to share with others. She began teaching in 1998 and has been teaching private and group lessons ever since. In 1997 she entered Columbia’s Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Med program, intending to go to medical school, but her growing passion for alternative healing drew her to acupuncture school instead. She received her Masters Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the New England School of Acupuncture in 2002 and has had a private acupuncture and Chinese herbal practice since 2003. As a child, Hagit Siman Tov was a swimmer with aspirations to compete in Olympic games. At 23 she was diagnosed with liver disease that eventually led to liver transplant. Following were 2 episodes of breast cancer, bilateral mastectomy and then a third re-occurrence of breast cancer after the mastectomy. Josh Wood

Not in all cases do logic, reason and medical expertise have all the answers. Kathleen O'Keefe-Kanavos survived breast cancer twice, more due to intuition and amazingly accurate prophetic guided dreams rather than due to medical advice. Since then she has become quite an expert on the power of dreams, now about to publish her new book Surviving CancerLand. Joan is a holistic healer with 25 years experience as a clinical healer, educator, speaker and author. Her clinical expertise is identifying and addressing specific mental, emotional and spiritual patterns associated with disease and awakening, and activating the body’s energy system to promote healing. Joan teaches at the faculty of Health Sciences at the Leo and Matilda Recanati School of Community Health Professions at the Ben Gurion University of the Negev, Israel, and has held several senior teaching and program coordinating positions at leading schools of complementary medicine in Israel. She teaches certification programs for Bach Flower Therapy Practitioners who specialize in identifying and addressing personality, emotional and behavioral patterns using homeopathically made flower remedies.

Joan developed and instructed holistic programs for breast cancer survivors at the Breast Health Center of Southern Israel. She has also developed unique applications of Holistic approaches in the field of interpersonal relationships in the work place. She has worked with the staffs and personnel of some of Israel’s leading companies, hospitals and educational institutions. Joan teaches courses in women’s empowerment and also programs for substance abuse victims. In 2010 she created a healing and transformational workshop program called “The Light Within” and published her first book titled “Messages from the Soul- A Holistic Approach To Healing."
