She is a world record holder who, along with 3 other teammates, are the first womens 4's crew to ever complete an entirely self sufficient ocean crossing in a rowing boat. They crossed the Atlantic Ocean in 67 days, 7 hours and 20 minutes. The crew were in the midst of gale force winds and treacherous seas, when they discovered their communication with the world beyond their horizon was gone. The team had to work together through storms and injury and illness to reach their goal. Kathy is an organisational team coach and trainer who runs her own highly successful business, providing organisations with management and leadership development. Nigel Vardy

Mountaineer, motivational speaker and author, Nigel Vardy is a record breaking climber, who describes himself as ‘6”2, blue eyed and scarred. Nigel has taken part in many climbs and adventures around the world. In 1999, he suffered severe frostbite climbing on Mt McKinley in Alaska, leading to the amputation of his toes and fingers. Nigel is still healing and says watching parts of his body die was difficult. “Those tiny things suddenly became so important, especially at the prospect of losing them,” he said. After three years recovering from his injuries, Nigel returned to high altitude and climbed Island Peak in Nepal. Since then, he has written extensively about his experiences, writing has helped his recovery and proved a source of inspiration for many people. Nigel has since completed a British first.
