Episode Description

In this episode of Autism Spectrum Radio Dr. Frea explores the effect of positive behavior supports in your child’s education and home environment. The recent release of the movie “Bully” has thrust the often hostile culture of our school systems onto the public radar. Of particular note for the Autism community is the increased impact that bullying has on children with ASD’s. Even more important to consider are the impacts the culture that is established within your child’s school has on their long term developmental progress. In this episode Dr. Frea focuses on the study of positive behavior (PBS) support and how many schools are using PBS to create a culture of positive reinforcement for their students. Dr. Frea is also excited to welcome Dr. Robert Horner to the show. Dr. Horner is a luminary in the field of PBS and applied behavior analysis, and will have some great insight into how PBS is being used within our school systems. Be sure to catch Autism Spectrum Radio Tuesday, April 17th at 11 AM.
