Hosted by Youngjoo Ahn and Courtney Cheng, today focuses on the impact of drunk driving and underage drinking. Reports include Ryan Sim with Pro Parley, Artsy Gifts with Youngjoo, and Book It with Courtney. Joseline Suarez, a teen from Youth Voice in San Diego shares personal experiences and information to prevent teens from drinking. Alcohol related accidents kill someone every 30 minutes and injure someone every two minutes. Nearly one-third (31%) of driver deaths ages 16-20 were drinking drivers. Joseline discusses drinking promotions, how teen drinking affects relationships, and what can be done to curb this epidemic of underage drinking. Weeping Willows is a true story about a young girl's journey after tragically losing one of her siblings from a drunk driver when she was 15. Written by twenty-something Michelle Scavarda of Yorktown Heights, New York, this beautifully written and poignant story tells about how one young girl struggled through an unspeakable tragedy

Hosted by Youngjoo Ahn with administrator, Steven Zhou plus teenage field reporters from around the country, Express Yourself! is THE destination for teens to be heard. Within the walls of the young adult community, listeners are uplifted and encouraged to be the stars of your own life. Through collaboration and conversation, a global campus of young people express their views. Topics include anything that kids talk about-books, music, making a difference, technology, school, art, humor, writing, tough talks, health, sports, films, family, friends, foes, fashion, and fun. Youngjoo Ahn, with the Express Yourself! STAR On-Air Team
Youngjoo Ahn, a talented crafts artist and writer, is a high school junior is the host of Express Yourself! and the reporter of “Artsty Gifts”. In her spare time she enjoys experimenting in the kitchen, skiing, and taking pictures with her Polaroid camera.
Steven Zhou, is the show administrator and former co-host, the webmaster for Express Yourself!, a musician, and swim coach. He wrote the theme song for Express Yourself!, is attending Pepperdine University, and uses this experience for real world projects.
Courtney Cheng, Reporter of “Book It!” is the creative writing director for Express Yourself!, a freshman at CAL, and a contributor to Be the Star You Are! for TEENS book. She enjoys reading novels, writing short stories, playing violin, and listening to music.
Katelyn Eytstad founded a clothing charity, Angels of God, when she was 12. Only 15 now, she lives in New Jersey and is passionate about inspiring teens to give back and volunteer. She writes a blog and is our reporter for “The Gift of Giving”.
Nicole Eubanks, a thirteen year old from Florida is involved with chorus, loves playing volleyball, voice lessons, modeling, and appearing on promotional materials for Scholastic Book Fairs. Her segment is “The Health Beat
Rachel Glass, Reporter of “Making a Difference”, is a sophomore at the University of Oregon studying broadcasting. She helped fundraise for Be the Star You Are! and was a contributor to the book, Be the Star You Are! for TEENS.
Caie Kelley is an 11th grader in California. She enjoys swimming competitively, writing, playing piano, tutoring elementary school kids, and participating in public speaking. She is our pop culture reporter for “What’s Poppin’?”
Vivien Lee, Reporter of “Say What?”, the event coordinator for Be the Star You Are!, loves to sing arias, write poetry, shadow physicians, and collect quirky knowledge!
She is a freshman at CAL, Berkeley.
Ryan Sim is a 10th grader actively involved in the Speech and Debate team, Model United Nations team, Taekwondo, and loves to play basketball and tennis. He is an avid reader and writes book reviews. He is the reporter for Pro Parley.
Jacqueline Tao, Reporter of Campus Calling, is studying the natural sciences at Stanford University. She began volunteering with Be the Star You Are! in grammar school, contributed to the book, Be the Star You Are! for TEENS and loves sharing her college reflections.
Mason Windatt has played football on the California State Championship team. He is going into his senior high school year and is the reporter for On the Ball.
