Get a glimpse of his life in a sport that fills his spirit and lead him to qualify the U.S. for the 2012 Olympic Games in the K-1 200 meter race. Featured Independent Artist, Tini Grey, stops in to ‘Talk Story' about his adventures and his debut crossover album "Shades of Grey". Tini is the son of well-known Samoan singer/songwriter Jerome Grey who defined a genre of island pop and folk that has influenced an entire generation of Polynesian musicians. Dream Quest Challenge with host, Josie Passantino, launches its first round with two Challengers who have entered their music and their stories. Both from Canada, listen to Challenger Bonnie Ross from the Pop/Easy Listening category with her entry titled "Shine". Burned out from a 13 year career in Technology, the crash of the economy, and serious health issues, CJ went to Maui for a long overdue vacation. During that short week the energy of Maui captured her soul. She returned home, sold everything she owned and within 60 days was back on Maui to start a new life.
CJ shares her personal journey shaped from 30 years of professional development and experience, you will find the philosophy she used to change her life as she openly shares her blueprint with anyone who is ready to make a change. Are you ready? Dreams really can come true.
CJ’s heart and passion has always been music. Her father being a jazz musician, CJ started classical piano at the age of four. She taught herself the guitar and wrote her first song when she was ten, and basically grew up in her church and school choir. After five years of singing in the studios in LA, CJ left the music industry with the promise of returning some day when she could make a difference. Journey to Gold is the fulfillment of that promise. Today Journey to Gold offers independent artists a platform to present their music to the world, an opportunity to reach the masses without compromise to the artist’s creative freedom or integrity.
Teen Sensation, Josie Passantino, host for the Dream Quest Challenge this first season, started her two time award nominated internet radio career at the age of 14 years old. A "Bag of Goodies Production", Josie's production company, was created for her radio show titled, "The Josie Show" which has been on the air since October 2009.
Josie has conducted over 320 interviews to date from Platinum Recording Artists, Grammy Legends, Disney Stars, A-Title Recording Artists, Composers, Writers, Movie Stars, to Lottery Winners and upcoming Independent Artists. So bringing you undiscovered artists through a music contest like Dream Quest Challenge is nothing new for this amazing young talent. Josie has a wide appeal and a huge audience from around the world, USA, Canada, Poland, Hong Kong, Brazil, Ireland, Australia, UK, India, and Norway, just to name a few.
Josie was quickly recognized for her amazing personality and interviewing style, not only by her listeners but also by The Southern Star Network. Offered a position on their network as a guest host, Josie quickly loved her job as a guest host and millions of listeners fell in love with her. Consequently, the Southern Star created her own show for Josie and she became a permanent host of "Josie's Hard Country", a worldwide internet radio show heard every Sunday where Josie plays chart topping country billboard hits, music videos, and featured interviews."
