Episode Description

In 2010, today’s guest, Greg Fripp, ended a very successful and lucrative career in business to launch a nonprofit organization that aligned with his passion for growing food and helping people. His new organization, called “Whispering Roots,” was subsequently launched with a mission of bringing healthy food, education and living wage employment to underserved communities by using “aquaponics.” Join us as we discuss with Greg why he decided to change careers and risk his life savings to start Whispering Roots, what “aquaponics” is and how it is helping underserved populations, how he created his vision for this unique agency and got others – donors, partnering agencies, and others – to buy in, and where he sees Whispering Roots going in the near and distant future.
