Many parent’s know the challenges of having a child who is a picky eater but for children with autism, the issues become more complex. Many of our kids have challenges with food aversions and selectivity as well as chronic digestive issues. This week we talk with two experts about how to ensure our children are getting the nutrition they need. Rob Haupt is excited to welcome Dr. Eric Levey and Dr. Peter Girolami of the Pediatric Feeding Disorders Program at Kennedy Krieger Institute. Rob Haupt is a passionate professional in the field of autism. His knowledge of autism services, treatment options and insurance coverage has made him a popular guest speaker to advocate groups. He also shares tips for parents through his weekly video blog.
Rob is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst with over 12 years of experience treating individuals with Development Disabilities. He currently serves as Vice President of Business Development at Autism Spectrum Therapies (AST), an agency that provides Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Occupational Therapy and Speech to individuals with Autism. In his role with AST, Rob has collaborated with parents, teachers, and schools to support better understanding of autism health insurance mandates and how to effectively use insurance coverage.
