The goal of our show is elucidate the link between sports and medicine, with an emphasis on sports injuries such as concussions and spinal injuries. Our guests will include present and former professional athletes, high school and collegiate athletes and thought leaders such as researchers, administrators and healthcare professionals such as neuroscientists.

Dr. Grossinger will use his medical training to make the issues surrounding sports injuries easily accessible you as a listener and participant. We will educate you on advances in sports techniques, equipment and medicine, including but not limited to treatments, methodologies and technology. When appropriate, sports and medical professionals will be brought in to offer knowledge and expertise.

During the NFL season, Dr. Grossinger will review and analyze the most significant injuries of the past week.

Dr. Bruce Grossinger

Dr. Bruce Grossinger is a board-certified Neurologist and Pain Medicine doctor. He has an interest in Sports and Occupational medicine and diagnostic medicine of the brain and nervous system. He graduated Magna cum Laude from Lehigh University and completed medical school at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He served his neurology residency at New York Medical College and was a fellow in Electrodiagnostic testing at the University of Louisville.

Dr. Grossinger is the founder and managing partner of a successful group medical practice in the Greater Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Greater Wilmington, Delaware area. His practice is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. Dr. Grossinger holds six board certifications, including Neurology, Pain Medicine, Electrodiagnostic Medicine, and Independent Medical Examiner.

Dr. Grossinger is the Director of the National Sports Concussion Program, which affords him regular contact with other professionals in the brain injury arena. As a neurologist Dr. Grossinger is acutely aware of the need of a national dialogue and action regarding sports concussion injuries.

Dr. Grossinger is married and has two children. He is a passionate Philadelphia sports fan and a national sports enthusiast. He was a budding ice hockey, tennis and golf player in school and has coached soccer, basketball and baseball.
