Episode Description

Anyone who spends any time in the woods knows to leave a baby bear cub alone. Its mother is bound to be near, and if she senses danger to her cub, will tear you limb from limb. That is the kind of hornets' nest the local school district stirred up by undermining Amy Kalafa's efforts to provide her children with healthy lunches to take to school. The school offered sugary drinks and snacks with no nutritional value, and Amy's lifelong passion for nature and health was deeply offended. An award-winning film-maker with 25 years of top notch experience, she got angry enough to make a film detailing the damage that schools are doing to our children. This is a woman you don't want angry with you: she wrote a book to go with the film, put out tools to help other Moms concerned with their children's health make a difference in their communities, and her goal is to turn "Two Angry Moms" into two MILLION.
