Episode Description

Real estate may be the single most expensive investment you’ll make in your lifetime. Successfully navigating the torrid waters of selling and buying in New York City can be a daunting task, especially in today’s bull market. Real estate sales in NYC comprise about 80% co-ops and 20% condos. What are the differences between the two? Since the majority of sales are coops, how can you best prepare for this more stringent board approval process? How is investing in new developments different from purchasing in the resale market? This episode will help to position you, as a domestic or international buyer, to make informed choices in identifying solid investments. As a prospective seller, you’ll learn about pricing methodologies, the specifics of offers from international buyers, and how you can maximize your return on investment. We’ll also discuss unique challenges in NYC that contribute to norms for buyers and sellers to partner with a qualified and experienced real estate broker.
