Jayanath Abeywickrama

Dr. Jayanath Abeywickrama began his career with a hermit monk studying old Buddhist texts in Pali and Sanskrit. From age 12, he lived with his Ayurveda Master Porevede Rishi (1928-2002), who taught him the ancient principles and knowledge of herbal studies and ‘energy’ medicine. Eight years later, he entered the Vidyodaya Ayurveda Faculty in Colombo, where he graduated in October 2000 as “Ayurveda Vaidya”. Dr. Abeywickrama has gained profound wisdom and has a deep connection to his Master Arisen Ahubudu (1920 - 2011), the advisor for many years to several Singhalese presidents. He brings together an extraordinary mastery of the science of life and life energies (Ayurveda), the visionary gift of a great spiritual teacher, as well as a profound knowledge of the Western mind and the needs of modern people and time.
