Mette Bloch

Mette Bloch an entrepreneur from Denmark became famous for winning two World Championship gold medals in single sculls rowing in one year, progressing from eighth in the world to first. The mental and physical toughness required to be a world champion led Mette into a study of psychotherapy and cognitive behaviour and into the field of business and individual motivation. Mette is also a well known television presenter, speaker, the author of four books – her latest is ‘The Winning Mentality’ – also a writer for magazines and newspapers. She loves a challenge and in November 2010 wrote, produced and performed a solo comedy show in front of an audience of 1600 to rave reviews. Mette’s greatest personal challenge came in 2005 when she was diagnosed with chronic arthritis, a devastating blow for a former elite athlete. Her mental and physical strength was tested to the limit but now in 2011 she is fully recovered without the use of conventional medicine.
