Dorothy McCoy
Dr. Dorothy McCoy’s background is in psychotherapy, law enforcement, law enforcement training, pre-employment assessment, and behavior modification. She is a researcher, a psychotherapist and a law enforcement consultant. She received her BA from the University of South Carolina, Masters in Clinical Counseling from The Citadel and her doctorate from the University of Sarasota. She is a Diplomate with the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress, a certified Cognitive-Behavioral Therapist, a national certified therapist, a NOVA-trained community crisis responder and a licensed professional counselor. Dr. McCoy says she enjoys working with clients and witnessing the positive changes they make in their lives. She has published a police-stress workbook and three books, including The Manipulative Man.
