David McConville

David McConville is a media artist and theorist whose work explores immersive visualization tools to expand the power of human cognition. He is creative director of the Worldviews Network, a NOAA-funded collaboration of scientists, artists, and educators across the US, re-imagining the big picture of humanity’s home in the cosmos. Using immersive environments and interactive scientific visualizations, they facilitate community dialogues across the US about how our collective actions are shaping humanity’s future. He is also co-founder of The Elumenati, a design and engineering firm that creates custom installations for clients from art festivals to space agencies. He volunteers as President of the Buckminster Fuller Institute, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to identifying and incubating initiatives with the significant potential to ‘make the world work for 100% of humanity in the shortest possible time through spontaneous cooperation without ecological offense to anyone.’
