Kenya, jewel of the Motherland; namesake of an unapologetic, eclectic, ink-bleeding, melanin seeping, glass-ceiling-breaking, culture vulture; Child of the afro-academic village, born and raised in oh-so-essoteric Orange County, CA. Renaissance woman of multiple crafts: Def Jam spoken word artist, public speaker, published author and creative political strategist and creator of The ART Collective. Bachelorette of the Arts and Sciences, Pan African Studies and Political Science from California State University, Northridge. Music is her Mister, books are her boyfriends, CREATION has her heart, and it beats to its own rhythm, giving life to further the legacy she has inherited and her accepted obligation to communicate for the voiceless and most marginalized in our society.
