Greg Turner

Greg Turner a native of Arizona. His football career got started at Flagstaff High School, where he received All State and All American honors as a standout Defensive Back, Running Back and Center Fielder as a baseball player from (77’thru80’). From there he took his talents to play for Larry Smith at the University of Arizona, where he was a three year starter as a cornerback and strong safety. Greg earned USA player of the week honors against his arch rival ASU and UCLA with his game saving tackle on Freeman McNeil. (81 thru 84). His professional career landed him with the Houston Oilers as a defensive back in 85’ playing under defensive coordinator Jerry Glanville and Hall of Fame Kenny Houston as his secondary coach. As a free agent with the Oilers Greg was placed on the practice team squad then later released in 87’. Turner was immediately picked up by the USFL’s legendary coach Frank Kush of the Arizona Outlaws from 87 thru 89. When the USFL folded in 1989 Turner called it quits and put his construction management degree to use and he’s presently owner of Turner Design Group LLC in Glendale, Arizona. Turner still enjoys youth 7 0n 7 camps and currently he’s the defensive back coach at Hitman Sports Training here in Scottsdale, Arizona.
