Travis Thompson

Dr. Travis Thompson is a Graduate Faculty Member in the Special Education Program at the University of Minnesota where he is affiliated with the autism certificate program. He is a Fellow in the Association for Behavior Analysis and was past president of the Behavioral Pharmacology Society the Division of Psychopharmacology and Substance Abuse. Thompson has published 235 journal articles and chapters as well as 30 books dealing with autism, psychopharmacology and related topics. Thompson has spoken in over 47 states in the US and 15 countries on topics related to autism and other developmental disabilities. Thompson and his wife Anneke have four adult children and seven grandchildren, one of whom, Michael, has an autism spectrum disorder. When he is not pursuing his professional interests, he enjoys creating watercolor paintings, reading poetry and essays.
