SAMANTHA RAPOPORT joins USA Football as its senior manager of flag and female football development. Rapoport had served the NFL's league office since 2003, assisting with the launch of NFL Network and contributing to the league's player personnel department. While with the NFL, Rapoport oversaw youth programs such as NFL Flag and NFL Street Unplugged. She also helped create the NFL Girls Flag Football Leadership Program that fosters football participation among girls across the country. In her new role with USA Football, Rapoport will continue to develop opportunities for females in football as well as oversee USA Football's flag football programs. A former quarterback in the Independent Women's Football League and native of Ottawa, Ont., she graduated from McGill University in Montreal with a degree in kinesiology and business administration. Rapoport will serve USA Football from the NFL office in New York. USA Football's other five new hires will all report to the independent non-profit's Indianapolis office every day.
