Dr. Dennis Hurwitz, F.A.C.S., has positioned himself in the fields of plastic surgery and obesity surgery as one of the most respected practitioners of established techniques, and as an important innovator of safe, effective surgical advancements. Dr. Hurwitz of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, has helped thousands of patients redefine their image by lifting a great weight off their shoulders, both literally and figuratively. Dr. Dennis Hurwitz is the Clinical Professor of Surgery (Plastic) at the University of Pittsburgh Medical School and is the former director of the Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Center in Pennsylvania. He has been recognized as one of America’s Top Physicians for specialist referrals and was the only plastic surgeon in Western Pennsylvania named in the 2001 Castle Connolly Guide. Dr. Hurwitz has innovated new techniques in obesity surgery, and is sought out worldwide, at his Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania office for the groundbreaking total body lift surgery. Dr. Dennis Hurwitz is a diplomat to the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He was medical director of the University of Pittsburgh Cleft Palate/Craniofacial Center and had the largest active practice of cleft lip and cleft palate patients in the region.
