Tom McGrath
Founder/Chief Sustainability Officer at LABS Renewable Energy Tom is building waste-to-energy systems with zero emissions. Renewable energy was in Tom’s sights when he was a student at Cornell University. While pursuing his Anthropology degree, he was active in ENSOL, a solar energy collective. Graduate level course work in ethnographic filming and film production paved the way for his initial career path as a filmmaker. Tom apprenticed in Florence, Italy where he developed a passion for lighting with a lean visual style. Back in the US, he moved up the ranks behind the camera on major feature films, TV shows, documentaries, music videos and enjoyed a successful career creating commercials for Toyota, Sprite, Fox Sports, American Express, Pizza Hut, Chevy, Verizon, Nike and Dunkin Donuts. Over the past several years, Tom has returned to his renewable energy roots to focus on Clean Technologies and Resource Recovery Systems.
