Michael Crooke
Dr. Crooke is a Professor of Strategy at Pepperdine University, and founder of the school’s Social, Ethical, and Environment Responsibility Certificate Program. He is concurrently a consultant to high-growth businesses, developing strategies that create an emotional connection between customers and the brand. In 2009 Crooke led the successful turnaround of prAna LLC. From 2005-2007 Crooke partnered with Steve Case, as CEO of Revolution Living. From 1999-2005, Crooke served as CEO of Patagonia, Inc., and Lost Arrow Corporation. Michael also served in senior leadership roles at Pearl Izumi, Kelty Packs,Yakima and Moonstone Mountaineering. He has held director positions on the boards of: 1% for the Planet; Channel Keepers; Patagonia, Inc.; and the Conservation Alliance. Crooke holds a Ph.D. in management from Claremont Graduate University, as well as a B.S. in Forestry and a MBA from Humboldt State University. Crooke served as a Navy SEAL with Underwater Demolition Team 12.
