Katherine Fern
Katherine Fern has been teaching emerging interior designers in important business aspects of the profession since 2005. During her six-year tenure as the Faculty Advisor for the American Society of Interior Designers’ UCLA Extension Student Chapter, the Chapter won the ASID national “Outstanding Student Chapter” for two consecutive years. In 2010, she was awarded ASID’s national Faculty Advisor of the Year and has served on the ASID National Student Advisory Council. She continues to serve as a member of the board of the Interior Design Coalition of California, the organization that represents both the International Interior Design Association and ASID as well as unaffiliated interior design professionals in legislative matters. Kat was awarded the UCLA Extension Distinguished Instructor Award in 2012.
