Dr. Caroline Le Poole

Dr. Caroline Le Poole is the first woman to receive her PhD from the University of Amsterdam in the Department of Dermatology. Her first faculty position was at the University of Cincinnati. She is now a tenured professor of Pathology, Microbiology and Immunology at Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago. Caroline recently discovered the ground breaking possible cure for Vitiligo, a skin disorder causes irregular white patches on the skin, that affects over 65 million people world wide and over one million in the United States. Dr. Le Poole has authored over 50 book chapters and publications in scientific journals. She is on the board of the Association of Immunologists and the Directorship of the Immune Monitoring Core in the Cardinal Bernardin Cancer Center.
