Sarah Kate Ellis-Henderson was born and raised on Staten Island, NY. She graduated from Russell Sage College in 1993, and moved to New York City to pursue a career in marketing. Sarah has spent the past seventeen years working on such top brands as Vogue, In Style, and most recently as Executive Vice President of Real Simple Magazine. Sarah is the co-author of "Times Two, Two Women in Love and the Happy Family They Made," released by Simon & Schuster in 2012, and she penned a controversial blog for The Huffington Post on the topic of Marriage Equality just prior to its passage in New York State in June, 2012 titled, "My Kids Have Everything - Except Married Parents". Most recently, Sarah completed the New York City half marathon on St. Patrick's Day exactly 12 hours after moving into her new home. Sarah is a type A overachiever
