Robert Spurrier Boege (“Bur—ga”) is Executve Director of the STEMConnector™ Project and has served as Executive Director of ASTRA, the Alliance for Science & Technology Research in America since December 2000. Boege also serves as Vice President for the ASTRA / STEMconnector partnership. Boege has served as principal investigator for three major projects related to the STEM Workforce and Innovation. Boege has served in various positions within the government, the nonprofit sector and industry. He brings extensive legal, database visualization, management and digital media expertise to the policy arena. Boege has created documentation for taxonomic and nomenclature projects related to litigation support activities, legal citation, innovation, and workforce policy. He managed and created digital products for the Congressional Research Service, where he served in its American Law Division. He also directed retrospective cataloging conversions (RECON) of print materials to digital formats at the U.S. Library of Congress, and headed the MARC Miscellaneous Languages Verification Unit IV for the Library. Boege has created and supervised litigation database support projects, and overseen the coding and indexing of massive amounts of evidence for clients. Boege managed several litigation support projects for the government under confidentiality restrictions.
