Nina Martin
Nina Martin is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been working directly with children and families in a variety of settings for over 20 years. When her first born son was diagnosed with Aspergers Syndrome in 2005 at the age of 4, she began focusing on learning more about the multitude of treatment modalities for people on the autistic spectrum. Despite her education and experience, having to quickly learn and integrate new approaches to parenting her own child was quite challenging. Nina found support with a parent group which she later she co-facilitated for three years. Talking Autism is her next step in reaching out to a broader community. Her hope is to utilize this amazing technological resource, providing succinct answers to the many questions faced by families. Together, she hopes, they will all receive critical information in order to best navigate the challenging and joyous waters of helping their loved ones grow up well.
