Alan Brill

Alan Brill is a Senior Managing Director at Kroll Cyber Security, a part of Kroll Advisory Solutions. He is the founder of Kroll’s global cyber security practice and has been in the cyber security consulting field for 39 years. He has conducted international security reviews and investigations of cyber-security incidents for major corporations and governments. He is a frequent speaker at international conferences, and on media outlets ranging from the network news programs to the BBC, CNN Deutche Welle, and many others. His work on defending the campaign of President Obama from foreign hackers was recently featured on NBC Nightly News. He is the author or co-author of 7 books and over 100 articles. He has lectured for the FBI, Secret Service, NATO Center for Defense Against Terrorism, the Kennedy School of Government and at conferences of the American Bar Association, American Bankers Association and has testified before congressional committees. He has served as a special master for the federal courts. He holds BA and MBA degrees from NYU, and is a graduate of the U.S. Army’s Command and General Staff College and of the National Defense University. Prior to joining Kroll, he was with the New York City Department of Investigation, as well as with E &Y, NASA’s Manned Spacecraft Center and served as an officer at the Pentagon. He holds CISSP, CFE and CIPP credentials and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences.
