Amaha Kassa

Amaha Kassa (Founder, African communities Together) Amaha was born in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. For 9 years, Amaha directed a workers’ rights NGO in Oakland, where he first conceived the idea of building a grassroots organizing network for African immigrants. Amaha is an attorney who received his law degree from the University of California, Berkeley and a Master’s of Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School. In 2012, he was recognized by Open Society Foundation and Echoing Green as a Black Male Achievement Fellow.
