Dr Francis Seow-Choen

Dr. Seow-Choen graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1981 and obtained his higher surgical qualifications in 1987. He subsequently sub-specialised in colorectal surgery in 1989 where he worked with the world-class surgeons of St Marks' Hospital in London. Dr. Seow-Choen then returned and helped establish the first colorectal surgery department in Asia at Singapore General Hospital (SGH). Dr. Seow-Choen has established himself in the field of colorectal surgery. He is leading the development of colorectal surgery in Asia particularly in the area of robotic technique, and has frequently conducted trainings in a number of countries, including the USA, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, China, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Indian, Pakistan, Myanmar, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia.
