Joseph O’Hara,Managing Director Ristretto/Alchemy Coffee/Alchemy Cafes After completing his Bachelor of Engineering degree, Joe spent a number of years working as an engineer in the oil and gas sector, in both training and design/construction roles around the world – including Australia, the UK, Norway and the US. Joe left engineering to enter IT as an Oracle DBA in an attempted career cage. But really always wanted to run his own business – but what business? Joe set up Daily Grind Trading Company in 2003, which became Ristretto in 2008. This company provides high end coffee services to the corporate sector for events and exhibitions. Purchasing roasted coffee from others lead to buying our own roasting equipment in 2008, a direct trade purchasing model and opening our first coffee shop in central London where – “we do things a little differently”.We now have 3 aligned and vertically integrated businesses all striving to provide the customer with an exceptional coffee experience.
