Mark Colbourne MBE is a World & Paralympic Champion and International Speaker. From Wales he became Great Britain’s newest Gold medal Paralympian cyclist in 2012 winning a gold and two silver medals. He was later awarded with an MBE from HRH Prince Charles in the 2013 New Year’s Honours list. Having broken his back in a near fatal paragliding accident in 2009 he was left with lower leg paralysis and drop foot in both feet. He fought for 12 months to walk again with walking aids and went through hell and back to reach his first Olympic games. His first Silver medal was in the 1km individual time trial. The next day he broke the 3km individual pursuit World Record twice by 7 seconds in the morning and then 4 hours later by 0.2 seconds to win gold. Entering the 10 mile individual road time trial 5 days later he won silver. Mark shares his incredible story and key life and business lessons with companies and individuals as a speaker and is also ambassador to the Olympic Park Velodrome.
