James Huckabee

James Huckabee is Senior Vice President of the Star Detective and Security Agency, Inc. based in Chicago. Established in 1923 by the son of a slave, Luegemus Bratton, Star Detective Agency is one of the largest and oldest black-owned security and investigations companies in the United States. His leadership role in operations, sales, and quality control has greatly assisted STAR in its continued growth and success. James earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix and is a Certified Institutional Protection Manager (CIPM). Besides being President of the Associated Detectives and Security Agencies of Illinois, he is First Vice President of the National Council of Investigation and Security Services, Past President of the International Organization of Security Executives, and serves on the Board of Directors for a number of professional trade associations
