Susan Dickinson
Susan Dickinson, M.S., CGC, joined AFTD as Executive Director in February 2008. During her tenure the organization has tripled in size, with a current staff of 9 and budget approaching $1.5 million. Key accomplishments include leading AFTD in its first strategic plan, enhancing governance practices and Board recruitment, expanding services to meet the needs of FTD families, and investment in specific strategies to advance FTD drug development. Susan is a certified genetic counselor with more than 25 years of experience facilitating communications among lay, scientific and medical communities. She holds a MS in genetic counseling from Arcadia University and a BA in biology and psychology from Swarthmore College.
