Darol Rodrock

Following graduation from Marysville High School in 1962 in Marysville, Kansas, Darol Rodrock went on to the University of Kansas, where he earned a Masters Degree in Education. He met and married his wife Karen while at KU. Darol spent eleven years teaching history and coaching, mostly at Shawnee Mission West High School, in Overland Park, Kansas. Before and after his school duties, he started building houses in 1974, building over 800 houses. He eventually moved into development and founded Rodrock Development. Rodrock Development has currently built more than 70 new-home communities in Johnson County, Kansas and has been named “Developer of the Year” five years in a row. On January 17, 2014, Darol held a Foundation Kickoff Party to celebrate a new foundation he established called The Darol Rodrock Foundation, whose purpose is to benefit children in foster care.
