Matt Williams

Matt grew up in Michigan and played multiple sports, but baseball was his passion from a young age. After excelling in the youth and high school ranks, Matt earned a scholarship to play baseball at Duke University. While at Duke, Matt was a four-year starter as a catcher and was drafted in the 18th round of the 2009 MLB draft by the Chicago Cubs. He played one year of professional baseball before retiring to pursue ministry and coaching.

For the past four years, Matt has worked multiple jobs in ministry and coached baseball on the side, including volunteering with CFC for over a year. Now, he is ready to merge his work in ministry and coaching efforts by joining the CFC team. Matt has a passion for sport and coaching and couldn't be more excited to join CFC's efforts to help coaches live out a transformational purpose.

Community for Coaches/The Navigators is a support-based ministry, and right now Matt is working hard to raise the funds needed to get him up and running. If you would like to give a one-time gift to help get Matt started, you can do so by visiting his donor page
