Jackie Waldman
Jackie Waldman was living the “perfect life” with three healthy children, a loving husband and a thriving business when she discovered she had multiple sclerosis. After dwelling on her limitations for too long, she finally saw new possibilities and used her energy to begin a new career in volunteerism. Jackie co-founded Dallas’ Random Acts of Kindness Week. She has appeared twice on Oprah. Jackie was chosen by CNN as one of their Millennium Heroes. She received the 1999 Girls Inc. “She Knows Where She’s Going” Award. She is a National Ambassador for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and the author of 5 books including, The Courage to Give. Jackie inspires others to give through volunteering and to discover that they, too, can triumph over tragedy and make a difference in the world.
