Michael Robirds

Michael Robirds served in Vietnam with Division’s 1st Battalion, 7th Field Artillery Regiment. While on patrol, his convoy was attacked by a suicide bomber, and he took injuries. In October 2005, Michael medically retired from the U.S. Army and returned home to start life as a civilian again. One of his first jobs included a sales position with 24 Hour Fitness USA, Inc., a role in which he developed an effective sales strategy and soon earned recognition as a top-performing representative. He eventually left the company to pursue a better opportunity in the merchant services industry, helping businesses manage their transaction payments, credit card processing, online ordering, and similar operations. Michael's incredible work ethic and strong people skills led to his advancement at a private firm to the position of general manager.

Michael went on to work with call center operator Purple Heart Services, leading sales operations and sales training and encouraging revenue growth. In 2009, Michael and his longtime friend launched their own merchant services company, Securus Payments. Within the last year and a half, they have transformed Securus Payments into a multimillion-dollar enterprise with more than 65 on-site employees and over 80 sales representatives serving clients in the United States, Canada, and, not far in the future, Mexico.
