I started Nutrition Concepts, Inc. in 2005 in response to the growing health crisis in the United States. After losing my mom to cancer in 1998, I was driven to learn more about the relationship between nutrition and disease. I received my Master’s of Science in Holistic Nutrition in 2007 and through my schooling I learned that most illness and disease is a direct result of diet and lifestyle choices. My learning turned into a passion to help as many people as possible, by teaching them how to lower their risk of disease, stay healthy and have the energy they desire for a lifetime. I dream of a world of healthy and happy people, where cancer is rare and where schools offer healthy foods that help kids learn, focus, perform better and stay healthy. My mission at Nutrition Concepts, Inc. is to provide nutrition education services, programs and products that enable people to achieve their personal health goals. We want to be your online source of nutrition information, providing you with healthy recipes, wellness resources, book and nutritional product recommendations, and nutrition news. I’m passionate about the growing health crisis among children in America and the impact that food choices have on their health, development and learning. I have extensive experience in working with children’s obesity programs and was a featured speaker at the Arizona State University Crossroads of Childhood child development conference in 2007. In 2010 I spoke at the AZ Association of Health, P.E. Recreation and Dance annual conference, School Nurses of Arizona Association annual conference and Worthy Institute Conference on Children’s Obesity. I hold a Master’s of Science Degree in Holistic Nutrition, am a Certified Wellness Coach, and I’m active member of the National Association of Nutrition Professionals, Action for Healthy Kids and National Associat
