Mitch Allen
Mitch Allen has 35 years experience in academic and professional publishing. He launched Left Coast Press, Inc. after leaving his position as Publisher of AltaMira Press, which he founded and directed for its first ten years. Previously, he spent 20 years at Sage Publications, where he served as Executive Editor. He has been responsible for publishing over 1000 books, dozens of professional journals, and several software products in his career. Mitch is also an archaeologist (Ph.D., UCLA) who publishes regularly in that field. He is Visiting Professor of Anthropology at Mills College in Oakland, CA.
