Donalea Patman

Donalea Patman roared into action raising the awareness of nation and spurred a government into action to be the first country to completely ban trophy and body part imports and exports of Panthera Leo in Australia. Donalea first heard the term "Canned Hunting" while attending a workshop with Andrew Harvey at the White Lion Protection Trust in Timbavati, S. Africa. She founded ForTheLoveofWildlife.org as a professional platform alongside her work with the Australian Gov’t and local MP. To provide the necessary science and video evidence to support the case to the Gov’t, she connected with S. African conservationist Ian Michler. Ian, along with economist Roderick Campbell presented the case to ban lion trophy and body parts from import Australia’s Environment Minister, Greg Hunt. The S. African Gov’t opposition required Hunt to seek advice and coordinate with the Australian Foreign Affairs and Trade Ministers. LEARN MORE: http://fortheloveofwildlife.org.au/news-stories/
