Tracey Martin is the founder and designer of Threads of Evolution. She is the living embodiment of the brand's principles and core beliefs. With a background in personal fitness and nutrition as well as wellness and life & style coaching, Tracey has designed a line of products that represent her personal journey which itself is representative of the journey of millions of other women. Tracey has chosen the chindi rug for the body of her bags because of what the rug represents. Viewed as something that is walked on, beaten, and used to wipe dirt on, a rug can symbolize a very low point in someone’s life, as it does for Tracey. However, by reframing the rug’s metaphorical representation, it can also be viewed as an item that provides a beautiful touch, can become the focal point of a room and something that adds warmth to a home. What at first represented one of the toughest moments in Tracey’s life has now evolved to become the body of these beautiful bags.
