Douglas L. Foshee has spent his entire Texas Business Hall of Fame career in the energy business. As the former chairman, president, and C.E.O. of El Paso Corporation, he oversaw North America’s largest natural gas pipeline system and one of its largest natural gas producers. Prior to joining El Paso in 2003, Foshee served in various high levels of leadership with Halliburton, Nuevo Energy Company, Torch Energy Advisors Inc. and Arco International Oil and Gas Company. . Currently on the boards of Cameron International, Corp, Rice University, KIPP Academy and Houston Endowment, Inc., Foshee previously chaired the board of directors of The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, Houston Branch. Foshee received his MBA from Rice University and BBA from SW Texas State University, which honored him in 2008 as a Distinguished Alumni. In 2007, Foshee received the Ellis Island Medal of Honor for his commitment to helping children succeed and his leadership role in the business community.
