Lara Bazelon

Lara Bazelon is a writer and attorney living in San Francisco. She is the former director of an innocence project based in Los Angeles, and before that, worked for seven years as a deputy federal public defender. She and her ex-husband share custody of their two children. Lara writes about a wide range of issues, including crime, justice, ethics, relationships, and divorce. Her essays and opinion pieces have appeared in the New York Times, Slate Magazine, Politico, and the Los Angeles Times, among other publications.
