Major Zachary Kinney

Zachary Z. Kinney, Sr., is a retired US Air Force Major who served on active duty with the United States Air Force from 1 May 1984 to 1 May 2004. During that time he served as a JAG Officer/military lawyer in the Judge Advocate General's Corp. He served as a base level prosecutor and as a Special Assistant United States Attorney in charge of the magistrates court at Dover AFB Delaware. From September 1996-2000 Major Kinney served as an Air Force tort lawyer. He also served as an Area Defense Counsel. He is a decorated veteran who has written several books, law review and newspaper articles on criminal law and procedure. He served as the Chairman of the Criminal Justice Department at Everest College in Arlington, Virginia. Major Kinney is the Judge Advocate General for, and a Colonel in, the District of Columbia Defense Force. Major Kinney is also a contract instructor for the US Department of State's International Law Enforcement Academy (ILEA) in Roswell, New Mexico.
